Sawai Mansingh Stadium, also known as Jaipur Cricket Stadium, is a premier cricket ground in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is known for its vibrant atmosphere and rich history of hosting historical clashes. This stadium is named after the former Maharaja of Jaipur State Sawai Man Sing II because it was built during their reign. This iconic stadium was opened to the public in 1969 and can accommodate 24,000 people to its full capacity.
The Sawai Mansingh Stadium is owned by the Government of Rajasthan, and RCA (Rajasthan Cricket Association) is responsible for its operations. This stadium is home to IPL franchisee Rajasthan Royals and has hosted IPL games in every IPL season since 2008. It is one of the oldest test cricket venues in India. The first international game at Sawai Mansingh Stadium was played on 2nd October 1983 between India and Pakistan.
