Anil Kumble – Mechanical Engineer
Anil Kumble is India’s top wicket-taker in international cricket and one of the best spinners in the game’s history. The tall spinner from Karnataka made his Test debut in 1990 against England. He played 132 Test matches and 271 ODIs, taking 619 and 337 wickets, respectively.
Before becoming a cricketer, Anil Kumble was a dedicated student. He finished his 10th grade from National High School in Basavanagudi and his 12th grade from National Pre-University College in Basavanagudi. Kumble studied mechanical engineering at the Rashtreeya Vidyalaya College of Engineering (RVCE) and graduated with a BE in 1992.
Javagal Srinath- Engineering In Instrumental Technology
Javagal Srinath is one of the fastest bowlers from India. He was the first Indian pacer to take 300 wickets in One Day Internationals (ODIs). In his career, he took 236 wickets in 67 Test matches, with his best performance being 8 wickets for 86 runs. In 229 ODIs, he took 315 wickets, with his best performance being 5 wickets for 23 runs. Srinath played his last match in the final of the ICC World Cup 2003 against Australia.
Javagal Srinath was born on August 31, 1969, in Javagal village, Hassan district, Karnataka. He studied at Marimallappa High School and earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in instrumentation from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) in Mysore.
Ravichandran Ashwin – Engineering In Information Technology
Ravichandran Ashwin is a legendary modern-day spinner. He started playing for India in 2010. Ashwin was part of the teams that won the 2011 World Cup and 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. He also helped India reach the 2014 T20 World Cup final.
Ashwin has played 93 Tests, 113 ODIs, and 65 T20Is, taking 486, 151, and 72 wickets respectively. He has won the IPL multiple times with Chennai Super Kings and led Punjab Kings. Now, he plays for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL.
Ashwin was born on 17 September 1986 in Chennai. He studied at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan, St. Bede’s School, and SSN College of Engineering.
Venkatesh Prasad – Mechanical Engineering
Venkatesh Prasad was a key player for the Indian cricket team in the 1990s, playing from 1994 to 2001. He participated in 33 Test matches and 161 One Day Internationals (ODIs), taking 96 and 196 wickets respectively. Prasad played in the World Cups of 1996 and 1999, and in the 1999 World Cup in Manchester, he took five wickets against Pakistan.
Born on August 5, 1969, in Bengaluru, Karnataka, Prasad went to ITI Vidya Mandir for his early education. He then earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Ramaiah Institute of Technology and a postgraduate certificate from the University of London.
Kris Srikkanth- Electrical Engineer
Kris Srikkanth, born on December 21, 1959, in Chennai, was an aggressive opening batter for India. He debuted for the Indian cricket team in 1981 and played until 1992. Srikkanth participated in 43 Test matches and 146 One Day Internationals (ODIs), scoring 2062 and 4091 runs, respectively, including 6 centuries.
He was part of the 1983 World Cup-winning team and top-scored in the final against the West Indies. Srikkanth also captained India during the 1989 tour of Pakistan when Sachin Tendulkar made his debut. An electrical engineer, Srikkanth graduated from the College of Engineering, Guindy, in Chennai.
