Netherlands fast bowler Vivian Kingma has been suspended for three months by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after violating the ICC, Anti-Doping Code during the Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 in May.
The 30-year-old pacer tested positive for Benzoylecgonine, a cocaine metabolite classified as a substance of abuse under ICC regulations. The infraction occurred during an ODI against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on May 12 in the 2023–27 League Two cycle.
Kingma admitted to the offence but maintained that the substance was taken out of competition. His suspension, which began on August 15, 2025, could be reduced to one month if he successfully completes an approved treatment programme.

The ICC has nullified Vivian Kingma’s records from May 12 onward under its anti-doping code. This includes the ODI against UAE on May 12 and all subsequent matches. Kingma’s last appearance for the Netherlands came in the T20I Tri-Series against Scotland and Nepal in June, where he played a single match without taking a wicket. Scotland went on to defeat Nepal in the final to lift the trophy.
