Chasing a modest target of 140, Sri Lanka’s openers laid a solid foundation. Pathum Nissanka scored a well-crafted 50, while Kamil Mishara remained unbeaten on 46*, guiding the team to a smooth win with their composed innings.
Earlier, Sri Lanka opted to bowl after winning the toss, and their bowlers struck early. Bangladesh suffered a major setback, losing openers Tanzid Hasan and Parvez Hossain Emon for ducks within the first two overs.
