UAE to Host Pakistan and Afghanistan in T20I Tri-Series Ahead of Asia Cup 2025. As a build-up to the Asia Cup 2025, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will compete in a T20I tri-series set to be held in Sharjah. The series, designed as preparation for the continental tournament scheduled from September 9 to 28, will take place from August 29 to September 7.
T20I: Each team will face the other twice in a round-robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the final. All seven matches—including the final—will be played at the iconic Sharjah International Cricket Stadium.
Originally, Pakistan were slated to play a three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, as outlined in the ICC’s Future Tours Programme. However, that window has now been repurposed for this tri-series. Meanwhile, Pakistan are currently engaged in a white-ball series against the West Indies.
