Klaasen

Heinrich Klaasen and Sunrisers Hyderabad returned to peak form in their final IPL 2025 match, posting a staggering 278/3 against Kolkata Knight Riders in New Delhi. Klaasen smashed a scintillating 105 off just 39 balls, registering the joint third-fastest century in IPL history (37 balls). After SRH’s dominant 110-run win, Klaasen credited the franchise for standing by their explosive style.

“I want to thank my family, and the franchise,” Klaasen said. “They put so much effort and investment into this brand of cricket. We owe it to them to perform.”

Despite a poor start—losing six of their first eight matches—SRH bounced back, winning four of their final five games. Though they’re unlikely to make the playoffs, they could finish as high as sixth, with Klaasen hopeful this late resurgence sets the tone for IPL 2026.

“The franchise has been around for over a decade. We had a rough patch, and it didn’t look great. But credit to the boys for turning it around. We’ve played brilliant cricket in the last few games and it feels good to give something back to the fans,” Klaasen added.

SRH fire warning shots before IPL 2026

After a rain-hit no result against Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad stormed back to win their final three games of IPL 2025, each time comfortably crossing the 200-run mark. Their season-ending blitz against KKR, led by Heinrich Klaasen’s brutal 105 off 39 balls (7 fours, 9 sixes), powered SRH to 278/3—the third-highest team total in IPL history. Remarkably, all four top scores now belong to the 2024–25 SRH squad.

Klaasen ended as SRH’s top scorer with 437 runs this season. Reflecting on his form and the team’s bold batting strategy, he said,
“It’s been a long season of disappointment and going against your processes. Luckily, I stuck to it and finally got a bit of reward tonight.”

SRH’s explosive approach—chasing 250+ scores even at the cost of losing wickets in clusters—paid off late in the season. Their emphatic win over KKR, who beat them in the IPL 2024 final, offered a small dose of revenge. With lessons learned, the focus now shifts to refining their high-risk, high-reward philosophy into a consistent winning formula ahead of IPL 2026.
