The Big Bash League has seen remarkable batting performances, with Chris Lynn leading as the all-time top run-scorer. A former Brisbane Heat star now with Adelaide Strikers, Lynn has also hit the most sixes in tournament history. Aaron Finch, Melbourne Renegades’ long-time captain, follows closely, leading his team to their maiden title in 2018-19 and being the only Renegades player with two centuries. Other notable scorers include Australian stars Glenn Maxwell, Jonathan Wells, and D’Arcy Short, all showcasing consistent power-hitting that defines the league’s excitement and competitive spirit.
Chris Lynn (Brisbane Heat, Adelaide Strikers) – 3,725 runs in Big Bash League
Chris Lynn, the former Brisbane Heat batter now representing Adelaide Strikers, holds the record for the most runs in Big Bash League history. A participant in every edition since the tournament’s inception in 2011, Lynn spent 11 seasons with Brisbane Heat before joining Adelaide Strikers for the 2022-23 campaign.
He played a key role in Brisbane Heat’s only title win during the second edition, scoring 175 runs, including two half-centuries, in nine matches. Lynn also boasts the record for the most sixes in BBL history, with over 190 maximums, including 27 in the 2015-16 season, then a single-season record.
Aaron Finch (Melbourne Renegades) – 3,311 runs in Big Bash League
