Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Vaughan predicted that Australia would overpower South Africa in the upcoming clash. “The Aussies to be too strong for SA this week at Lords is my guess … #WTCFinal,” the 50-year-old tweeted, expressing confidence in Australia’s dominance.
Josh Hazlewood has been included in Australia’s playing XI as he returns to the Test arena. ICC WTC 2023-25, He joins captain Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc to form a seasoned pace trio for the defending champions. On the South African side, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, and Marco Jansen lead the pace attack.
South Africa secured the top position in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table, earning a place in the final with a win percentage (PCT) of 69.44. They won eight of their 12 matches, lost three, and had one draw.
