IPL 2025, DC vs GT: Sai Sudharsan Smashes Second IPL Century for Gujarat Titans
Sudharsan’s Stunning Century Powers Titans to Playoffs and Orange Cap

Gujarat Titans’ opener Sai Sudharsan smashed his second IPL century, reaching the milestone in just 56 balls against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday. His sensational knock came off Kuldeep Yadav’s bowling in the 18th over and played a pivotal role in Titans’ dominant ten-wicket victory, sealing their spot in the IPL 2025 playoffs.
Sudharsan, alongside captain Shubman Gill, stitched an unbeaten 205-run stand for the opening wicket. The pair made the chase of 200 look effortless, finishing the game with six balls to spare. Sudharsan remained unbeaten on 108, while Gill narrowly missed his century, ending on 93*. Delhi’s bowling unit, including T Natarajan, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel, struggled to contain the free-flowing strokeplay.
With this commanding performance, Sudharsan reclaimed the Orange Cap from Rajasthan Royals’ Yashasvi Jaiswal, amassing 617 runs in 12 matches. Gill climbed to second in the run charts with 601 runs. Sudharsan also became the fastest Indian to score 1000 IPL runs during this knock. His previous century came against Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium last season, marking yet another high point in his rising career.
Gujarat Titans qualify for playoffs

Delhi Capitals posted a competitive 199/3 in their 20 overs after being put in to bat, thanks to a stellar unbeaten 112 off 65 balls from KL Rahul, featuring 14 fours and 4 sixes. Despite his heroics, Gujarat Titans chased down the target with ease, securing a comprehensive ten-wicket win. Arshad Khan, Sai Kishore, and Prasidh Krishna picked up one wicket each for Gujarat during the first innings.
With this victory, the 2022 champions Gujarat Titans not only booked their spot in the playoffs but also climbed to the top of the points table. The result also confirmed playoff berths for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS).
