Faf du Plessis Could Return for Next Match Against Gujarat Titans: Axar Patel
Axar Patel has revealed that Faf du Plessis might make his return in Delhi Capitals’ upcoming clash against Gujarat Titans (GT). The GT vs DC fixture is scheduled for Saturday, April 19, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
“I was told he would need to miss three matches for his recovery, and two of those are already done. There’s a chance he could be available for the Gujarat game, but the final call will depend on the physio’s report on his rehab progress,” Patel said.
Patel also provided an update on Kuldeep Yadav’s injury, reassuring fans that it isn’t a serious concern. Kuldeep picked up a knock while attempting a catch on the boundary during DC’s last game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Wednesday, April 16.
“I don’t have a specific update on Kuldeep yet. But if it were something serious, we would’ve known by now,” he added.
Kuldeep has been a standout performer for DC in IPL 2025, leading their wicket charts with 11 scalps in six matches at an impressive average of 13.18 and an economy rate of 6.04. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals are enjoying a stellar season — sitting atop the IPL 2025 points table with five wins from six games and 10 points to their name.
