On Sunday, February 16, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the complete schedule for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The much-anticipated season will kick off on March 22, with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) facing Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Kolkata.
After reaching consecutive IPL finals in 2022 and 2023, Gujarat Titans (GT) had a disappointing campaign in IPL 2024. Under new captain Shubman Gill, the team struggled throughout the season, finishing eighth in the league stage with 12 points from 14 matches.
Similar to the previous season, GT will play seven matches at their home ground, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. They will begin their campaign on March 25 against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at home.
In the IPL 2025 season, Gujarat Titans (GT) will play a total of 14 league matches. They will face Mumbai Indians (MI), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Rajasthan Royals (RR), and Delhi Capitals (DC) twice, playing both home and away fixtures against these teams.
Meanwhile, GT will have a single encounter against Punjab Kings (PBKS), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Notably, their matches against KKR and RCB will be away games, meaning they won’t host these two teams in Ahmedabad. With a mix of tough and competitive fixtures, GT will aim to bounce back from their disappointing IPL 2024 campaign.
The team, under Shubman Gill’s leadership, will look to make a strong impact, especially in their home games at Narendra Modi Stadium. Fans can expect thrilling clashes as GT fights for a place in the playoffs.
